Apply to get involved!

The form below should be completed by the Science Mentor candidate, on behalf of the Young Reviewer(s).

What are the requirements?

Young Reviewers are aged 8-15 and work with a Science Mentor to provide feedback to authors. Young Reviewers can work individually, as a small group or as a class with their Science Mentor.

Science Mentors will usually be researchers, postdocs, or late-stage PhD students who already have experience with the peer review process. In addition, school teachers with a science background and others with significant experience in scientific outreach may apply to become Science Mentors.

It is an advantage, but not essential, for the Science Mentor to have knowledge of the subject area of the article being reviewed.

If you are uncertain of whether you meet the requirements to become a Science Mentor, please contact us kids@frontiersin.org.
