The need to take action, to preserve healthy lives on a healthy planet, has never been more urgent than today.
Planet Earth’s natural ecological balance is under severe threat: amongst nine crucial areas defined by international scientists to keep this balance stable - the nine planetary boundaries – seven have now been exceeded. We must join together to make change and bring ourselves back within safe operating levels, with a determined voice and a clear vision of positive pathways to a better future.
We need science across all its areas of research, to understand how to reverse planetary damage, and create our new vision. To recognise scientists worldwide who are working towards practical solutions and technological breakthroughs, and who are mobilizing action at a global scale to prevent our planet from irreversible environmental change, the Frontiers Planet Prize is awarded annually.
In this third Collection, discover the breakthrough work of the 2025 FPP Champions from many different countries. These leading researchers will describe in their own words what they are doing which will change our planet’s future, from saving our oceans and fighting sea-level rise, to improving global supply chains and re-using trash. Get inspired to join the movement for action, with our 2025 prize winners!
You can also read all about the amazing work of previous Planet Prize Champions in Volume 1 (2023) here and Volume 2 (2024) here.
